The mighty one was alone...if only for a moment.
He stood alone in his keep--his armor gleaming like the majestic shell of a titan in the dimly lit room.
He looked at his left arm, or rather, what has come to replace it...
A metal, articulated trophy.A thing tribute to his nobility and honor... Every time he saw this, the sangheili knew to feel anything other than pride and the knowledge of victory would be nothing short of confused madness.
He undid his cape from his armor and looked around him at the the status and honer he has rightfully earned in his infinite battles.
The trophies and righteous paintings of life his actions painted as a great history.
Once again, nostalgia took his eyes to his artificial arm. How he lost those pounds of meat and bone--to gain this thing of metal...
No matter how many times he would reminisce, that story always shined a gleam in his darker days; How it warmed his heart with memories of love and paltry sacrifice.
The lumbering god of battle--the captain pulled out from his armor....
...Not just a holo-projector....
...A conduit to his past. what matters most to him...
....more than anything.
